Laura Loomer Says She’s ‘Pissed’ at Trump for Meeting With ‘Islamic Jihadist’

Laura Loomer, the conspiracy theorist and unofficial adviser to President Donald Trump, said she is “pissed off” because Trump met with New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, whom she called an “Islamic jihadist.”

The president was in New York on Monday ahead of a United Nations meeting. Mamdani hosted Trump at Gracie Mansion, where the two held a brief joint press conference afterwards. The joint public appearance resembled Mamdani’s November visit to the White House, when he was mayor-elect. Despite their past harsh words, the two shocked the media with an unexpectedly cordial meeting in which Trump praised Mamdani.

In their press conference on Monday, Trump said Mamdani has the “potential” to be a “great mayor.”

“I certainly hope he will be a great mayor. You have to understand, I want what’s good for New York,” Trump said of his hometown. “I want what’s good for the country. So, if I had a choice of having him be a bad mayor or a horrible mayor, I don’t want that. I want him to be a great mayor, and he’s certainly got potential, got great potential.”

Mamdani, who is the first Muslim mayor of New York, has been critical of Israel’s war in Gaza, which has prompted baseless allegations of anti-Semitism against him.

Monday’s scene at Gracie Mansion was too much for Loomer, a fervent Zionist, who responded on X by saying that Trump had “rewarded” one of the “Islamic jihadists” trying to destroy the U.S.

She did not mention Mamdani by name:

I’m pissed off.

We work so hard to combat the radical left and the anti-American Islamic jihadists who work to destroy our country everyday.

And for what?

So they can be rewarded?

There is never going to be any accountability. I realized that today.

We will never see it.

Loomer wasn’t the only MAGA media personality who found Trump’s appearance off-putting. New York radio host Sid Rosenberg blew a gasket over it.

“I love @POTUS but meeting with this anti American piece of shit hurts our mutual friend @NassauExec and all Republicans trying to win midterm elections,” Rosenberg tweeted. “This punk does not deserve the President’s respect. Meeting with this Jew hater on Yom Kippur? OMG. Please reconsider Mr. President!”
