Trump Vents His ‘Concern’ About Dan Sullivan vs. Dan Sullivan Race: ‘This Is CHEATING’

President Donald Trump is “very concerned” about the Alaska Senate — where voters have a choice between two Dan Sullivans and a Democrat.

Sen. Dan S. Sullivan (R.) is facing off in a tight race against Democrat Mary Peltola, as well as a retired teacher named Dan J. Sullivan (unaffiliated), who has been accused of trying to siphon votes from the incumbent to boost Peltola.

Trump again voiced concern about the Alaska race in a Truth Social post late Wednesday night, one in a stream of posts endorsing candidates in eight different states.

I am very concerned about the Dan S. Sullivan Race for the U.S. Senate in Alaska in that it is totally confusing, with the Dumocrats putting up another man, totally unrelated to Politics, named Daniel J. Sullivan, Jr. It’s ridiculous that the Court didn’t stop this SCAM. Even 1, 2, or 3% could make the difference. Dan S. Sullivan is leading by a lot, but this is CHEATING in an Election, and the Judge that allowed this to happen should be ashamed of himself. We are looking at powerful legal options to remove the fraudulent Daniel J. Sullivan Jr. from the Ballot, and holding the Democrats accountable for their Election Interference, in the pursuit of Justice and Fairness. President DONALD J. TRUMP

It’s not the first time Trump has complained about Dan Sullivan vs. Dan Sullivan. The retired teacher advanced to the general election, thanks to the state’s ranked-choice voting, after he finished in the top four in the August primary.

Speaking from the Oval Office in September, the president also declared Dan J. Sullivan’s presence in the race was cheating — after inflating his own margin of victory in the state. 

“I have to tell you this because he has an election, a crooked deal,” the president said. “It’s as crooked as hell, I’ll say it, when they put up a man with his– they picked him out of a hat. They said, ‘Anyone named Dan Sullivan in Alaska?’ And they put someone up against him because they know they can’t win without cheating. That’s what they do, is they cheat.”
