Trump Pushes the Panic Button Over the Prospect of Texas Turning Blue: Our Country Would ‘Live in Hell!’

President Donald Trump warned Texas voters they must vote for Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections because if the state turns Blue, it won’t just be a “disaster” for Texans — it will wreck the whole nation.

Trump smashed the panic button during a Wednesday podcast with Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R), with the president arguing a Democratic triumph in the Lone Star State will set off a chain reaction which will lead to Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C. becoming states.

The president said such a political shift would doom the Republican Party.

“I will be the last Republican president and our country will live in hell!” Trump said.

He argued Puerto Rico and D.C. becoming states would lead to four more Democratic senators and another eight to 10 representatives in Congress, which would make it so a Republican could “never, ever” win a presidential election again.

One Dem in particular Texans should avoid like the plague, Trump argued: Senate candidate James Talarico.

Trump spent a healthy chunk of the podcast bashing Talarico, branding him a “weirdo” and “freako” who hates meat and is trying his best to keep his most extreme ideas under wraps until after the election; the president warned Talarico will “revert” to his old ways the moment he wins the election.

“They call him Talafreako — and he is, he’s sort of a freak,” Trump said. “His whole thing’s a lie. If you look at his statements from two years ago, it was crazy what he was saying. And the one thing I learned about politicians — because I haven’t really been doing this that long, really, you know, guys have been doing it a lot longer than me — but whatever their initial statement, that’s where they belong, that’s where they go back to.”

Trump added he did not think Talarico was a “strong person.” Instead, he would just be a pushover for whatever the liberal elites in Washington tell him to do.

“He will vote for them every single time. He will never vote for Texas, he will vote for ideology that no person from Texas wants,” Trump said. “And so that vote is a disaster, if we love that vote.”

Trump’s remarks on Talarico come as several recent polls show him leading Ken Paxton (D) ahead of their November battle for the state’s Senate seat.

The president added the Republicans face a stiff challenge, because his administration moved so fast to deliver on campaign promises like shutting down the southern border that voters have now already forgotten about it. He said they need to remember how bad the country was under President Joe Biden (D).

“Sometimes people want change when change isn’t necessary. Sometimes they want change, even if you’re doing a great job,” Trump said. “But if they change Texas, Texas will be a disaster. And it could go bad very fast.”
