Trump Accuses Joe Biden of Concealing Evidence of ‘Democrat Plot’ to Kill Him in Butler

President Donald Trump accused former President Joe Biden and the FBI of concealing evidence about the assassination attempt against him in Butler, Pennsylvania, which Trump called a “Democrat plot” to murder him and get him out of the 2024 race.

The president made the provocative claims in a Tuesday post on Truth Social.

“Everybody knows the Crooked Joe Biden FBI didn’t do what they should have with respect to the Lunatic who shot me in Butler, PA,” Trump posted. “By the time I got into Office, on January 20th, most of the information was missing, altered, corrupted, or gone. New info was just found! Why wasn’t it seen long ago?”

He continued:

This was all a Democrat Plot, to get me out of the Election, that failed. Dirty Cop Christopher Wray should pay a price for the way he handled this assassination attempt, and certainly for the things he said. GOD BLESS AMERICA — MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! President DONALD J. TRUMP

His post comes two years after 20-year-old shooter Thomas Crooks fired eight rounds at then-candidate Trump while he was speaking at a July 2024 rally.

One of the shots — fired from a rooftop about 150 yards aways — hit Trump in the ear, while another killed rally attendee Corey Comperatore, a former fire chief who was there with his family.

Crooks was killed by Secret Service at the scene, and the FBI concluded a year later Crooks acted alone.

Still, some have questioned whether there are more details about the murder attempt left to be unearthed.

In June, the FBI skewered a conservative watchdog group after it accused the bureau of “slow rolling” the release of information on the assassination attempt. And a month later, Comperatore’s widow told NewsNation she believed the U.S. Government was behind the shooting.

“I believe it was an inside job, inside the government somewhere,” Helen Comperatore said.
