‘The Levee Has Been Breached!’ CNN Data Guru Declares ‘Blue Wave Is Coming Over the Wall’

Another day, another ugly midterms prediction for the Republicans.

This time it comes from CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten, who said on Monday the Republicans are in big trouble heading into November — especially when it comes to retaining control of the House — based on the polls he’s been looking at.

“It’s going to be f’ing rough, because the levee has been breached, the blue wave is coming over the wall, Speaker [Mike] Johnson and President [Donald] Trump,” Enten warned.

What’s the problem for the GOP? Enten said it’s Trump, who has a -16 net approval rating in ‘key House districts,” which CNN did not define. Enten said that’s twice as bad as 2018, when Trump had a -8 net approval rating and the Dems regained control of the House.

“Simply put, mathematically, this equals a Democratic majority for the House of Representatives,” Enten said about the president’s approval rating.

He also said Trump has a problem when it comes to the economy, with only 37% of voters in key districts approving of the job he’s doing.

Enten’s segment comes a day after Cook Political Report founder Charlie Cook said things are looking bleak for the GOP as well. Cook made a similar argument, saying the Dems are in a good position not because of their own platform, but because voters are upset with Trump.

“It isn’t pro-Democrat,” Cook said. “It’s anti-Trump, basically, and Republicans that have been supportive of the president.”

His appearance on ABC’s This Week echoed what Enten said a few days earlier, when he reported Democratic voters “despise” their own party’s leaders like Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

Cook added he thinks it’s a “done deal” the Dems take the House — and he said they have a pretty good shot at the Senate too.

Enten almost went as far on Monday, projecting the Dems will gain 22 seats and end up with 236 representatives following the elections.

“At this point, it looks like Democrats are going to have a very merry November indeed, at least when it comes to the House of Representatives,” he added.
