A Republican congressional candidate endorsed by President Donald Trump was caught on video declaring that he doesn’t like “f*cking white people” during a bizarre college rant that also featured explicit remarks about Black women and a challenge to compare penis sizes.

Joe Mitchell, 29, is running against Democratic state Rep. Lindsay James in Iowa’s closely contested 2nd Congressional District. But a newly surfaced video obtained by the Daily Mail shows the GOP hopeful making a series of vulgar comments while attending Drake University in 2017, when he was 19 years old.

“I want my kids to not be white, ok?” Mitchell said at one point in the recording, explaining, “I don’t like f*cking white people, ok?”

“Why do you think I hang out with people that aren’t white?” he added.

Elsewhere in the footage, Mitchell expressed his attraction to Black women, declaring, “I want to marry one,” and making a sexually explicit remark about a woman he knew at the time.

The future Republican candidate also challenged others in the room to compare their genitalia.

“Let’s f*cking measure them. Prove it to me. Prove it to me right now,” Mitchell demanded, before repeatedly shouting, “Forfeit! Forfeit! Forfeit!”

“You guys are the racist ones,” he continued, with a sign promoting Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) visible on the wall behind him.

According to the Daily Mail, the footage was supplied by a former college friend of Mitchell’s who was not present when it was recorded. Another former acquaintance told the outlet that Mitchell had repeatedly expressed similar sentiments about not wanting white children during his college years.

The outlet also obtained screenshots of Snapchat posts purportedly showing Mitchell bragging about receiving “2 alcohol violations in a week” and declaring he was “taking lots of xanx tonight.”

Mitchell’s campaign did not challenge the video’s legitimacy, arguing through an attorney that political opponents were attempting to undermine his congressional bid, and providing an image of the candidate alongside Trump in 2015.

The candidate himself acknowledged his past behavior in a statement to the outlet.

“My entire generation has had a camera in their face since we were born. I was 19, in college, and I have grown up,” Mitchell said. “Since graduating college, I found some better friends, launched my own small business, launched a nonprofit, and built countless affordable homes all over Northeast Iowa. I achieved the American Dream, and I’m running for Congress so every American can reach their full potential.”

The revelations come just one day after Mitchell joined Trump at a campaign rally in Sioux City, where he seemingly imitated the president’s distinctive speaking style while presenting him with a self-created “Man of the Century Award.”

At the same rally, Mitchell also made the eyebrow-raising claim that “We don’t ride bicycles in Iowa” while praising Trump’s efforts to eliminate bike lanes — despite the state hosting RAGBRAI, one of the world’s largest recreational cycling events.
