Nancy Mace Rips Jews Who Voted for Mamdani: ‘How Self-Loathing Are They?’

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) said of Jews who voted for New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, “How self-loathing are they?” in Wednesday’s edition of Piers Morgan Uncensored.

Mace joined Piers Morgan to talk about Mamdani’s Tuesday statement, in which he acknowledged that although he doesn’t have the authority to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — despite vowing to do so during his mayoral campaign — the federal government does. The mayor urged Washington to enforce the International Criminal Court’s warrant and arrest Netanyahu during his expected September visit to New York for the United Nations General Assembly.

When asked for her reaction, Mace called the statement “extraordinarily stupid,” referencing recent news that New York City’s commissioner for international affairs had plans to meet with Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations. To note, Mamdani claimed the meeting was “made in error” and never actually happened.

“How many Jews voted for Mamdani?” Mace continued. “To me, I’m just so perplexed by the whole idea of this guy coming to America eight years ago from Kampala, and all of a sudden, he’s sitting around trying to be president of the United States.”

In reality, although Mamdani became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2018, he moved to New York City with his family in 1999, when he was just seven years old.

As Morgan subsequently pointed out, “a lot of younger Jewish people did vote for him.”

He went on to ask whether Mace had any concern about “psychos” in the Israeli government “doing terrible things.”

“Well, I mean, that’s up to the voters of Israel to decide,” she responded. “I sort of look at this like how self-loathing are they that they elected someone — this guy Mamdani — who clearly, uh, I think has ulterior motives? I mean, to me, I’m just scratching my head on how the hell we allowed this to happen in our country, of all places.”

After Morgan called her take an “extraordinary charge,” Mace doubled down, “I think it is self-loathing, you know, and I have a strong Jewish coalition in my district in Congress… I don’t know how any Jewish person could vote for a man like Mamdani and what he stands for.”
