Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-MN) husband told Fox News he has “no concerns” about a federal investigation into his wife’s immigration history after a Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) raid on the couple’s home.

Fox News Digital was waiting outside the residence on Wednesday when they asked Tim Mynett for his reaction as he returned from walking the family dog.

“My wife came here when she was 12 years old as a child war refugee. No concerns,” he said.

The remarks come after the Justice Department confirmed that HSI agents executed a judicially authorized search warrant at Omar’s home on Monday as part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation.

Fox News has reported, citing sources familiar with the matter, that investigators are examining paperwork connected to Omar’s pathway to U.S. citizenship.

Fox News also found that at least two members of Omar’s family were served subpoenas, including her sister, Sahra Noor.

Omar denied wrongdoing and accused President Donald Trump of using federal law enforcement “to target political enemies.”

U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro announced on Tuesday that her office is also examining filings that previously listed business interests connected to Mynett as being worth between $6 million and $30 million. Omar later amended the filing, dramatically lowering the reported value of the couple’s assets. Her office said the original disclosure had mistakenly reflected the total equity of Mynett’s businesses without properly accounting for his ownership share and liabilities.
