‘His Brain is Cooked’: Media World Appalled By Trump Parodying Fatal Tiger Mauling Video

President Donald Trump sparked a wave backlash after posting an AI-generated video of himself wrestling and cuddling a tiger just hours after sharing real footage of a young British man being fatally mauled by one.

Trump first posted footage Tuesday from the attack at Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster, England, where 23-year-old William Chapman died after entering the enclosure of a tiger named Altai.

“Don’t ever mess with nature! President DJT,” Trump wrote alongside the clip. The White House Rapid Response account subsequently amplified that post.

Hours later, however, shortly before midnight, Trump returned to Truth Social with a caption-less AI-generated video depicting himself confronting the tiger. The AI Trump chases the animal, wrestles it to the ground and eventually embraces it while “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” plays.

The posts came after South Yorkshire Police specifically urged members of the public not to circulate footage of Chapman’s death. His family has also appealed for the videos to stop being shared, saying their circulation was causing further distress.

The sequence prompted condemnation from figures across the media.

“This is appallingly tasteless,” journalist Piers Morgan wrote. “Delete it, President @realDonaldTrump.”

Former DC commissioner Patricia Eguino added: “His brain is cooked.”

Independent journalist Aaron Rupar wrote: “The president is a sick man.”

Others joined to convey their disgust at the video:

Trump had already followed his initial post with a separate montage appearing to show people being attacked by lions, set to upbeat music.

Chapman was pronounced dead at the scene Saturday. Yorkshire Wildlife Park has said Altai will not be euthanized, while authorities continue investigating how Chapman entered the enclosure.
