A man who inexplicably jumped into a tiger’s enclosure in a wildlife park in the United Kingdom — and was ultimately fatally mauled by the roughly 400-pound beast — uploaded video of the cat to social media moments before he was attacked.

It’s still unknown why William Chapman leapt Saturday into the enclosure of Altai, a 5-year-old Siberian tiger at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park in northern England.

New video shows the moments Chapman apparently slinked up to Altai as he rested in the shade atop a structure inside the enclosure.

Chapman can be heard breathing heavily in the five-second clip, while witnesses in the background proclaim, “Oh my God!” and “seriously?”

He reportedly asked someone to take his picture before he jumped into Altai’s pen.

Video of the attack circulating on social media, which authorities in England asked the public not to share, showed the animal looming over Chapman, who appeared to point his finger at the tiger as if to chastise it after the creature bit his back and batted his foot as if he were a cat toy.

Altai is not expected to be euthanized following the attack, according to Fox & Friends First, which spoke to wildlife biologist Rosie Moore about the baffling incident.

“This is a tragic situation. A tiger raised in captivity is still just that, a tiger and a Siberian tiger is one of the scariest apex predators in the world,” Moore said.

“I read comments; people said it was like it was playing with the man. You have to think, these tigers are up to 600 pounds and are raised in harshest environments in the world,” she said.

The park immediately closed after the killing.

“Typically they’ll enact an emergency protocol which would involve euthanasia, but again some of these attacks happen so quickly and are so unexpected that there’s only so much you can do,” Moore said on Fox.

“I think the zoo is making right decision in not euthanizing the tiger, obviously because it does not pose an ongoing threat to public safety or other people,” she added.
