‘So, Which Is It?’ Fox News Anchor Throws Down With GOP Candidate Over Iran
Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum confronted Michigan Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers over his flip-flopping position on the Iran war, pressing, “So, which is it?”
Rogers joined Tuesday’s edition of The Story — just one day after his Democratic opponent, Abdul El-Sayed.
“Let’s talk about the Iran war,” MacCallum prefaced. “You said at the beginning of the war, on February 28, that Iran ‘presents an imminent threat to the country and must not have a nuclear weapon. God bless our troops.’ And then, more recently, you said the Iran war ‘needs to end to bring costs down.’ Prior to that, you said, ‘Let’s get this done, and let’s get it done right.’ So, which is it?”
“Well, all of those things are true,” Rogers responded. “We have decimated their nuclear program. Kudos to the United States military… My argument is to start wrapping it up. We can’t be there without an end date or an end to the regime. I think that [President Donald Trump] needs to come out and make sure which is which, but if we’re not doing that, we need to start wrapping it down.”
MacCallum’s questioning comes just hours after Trump attacked her Monday El-Sayed interview, writing on Truth Social:
FoxNews spends more time covering the Jihadist and Dumocrat candidates than they do the good old fashioned Republicans, the people that have saved America, and are making it great again. All they talk about is Dumocrat Jihadists like El-Sayed, with his softball interview by Martha MacCallum, and the like. She never interviews me like that. They don’t show my record breaking Rallies the morning after, but others do, and that’s what MAGA is watching. Fox is promoting the Dumocrats, not the Republicans and MAGA. They have totally lost their way! President DJT
And at a rally yesterday, Trump said, “El-Sayed was interviewed just a little while ago on a certain network. I won’t tell you which one. They let this guy talk, talk, talk. They hardly fight him at all. Why are they putting these people on our television networks? Why?”
