Joe Scarborough Fires Back in Real Time After Trump Attacks Him: Go Watch Shows ‘That Say Sh*t That You Like!’

MS NOW’s Morning Joe crew let loose after President Donald Trump dropped a scathing jab at the show as “predictable,” claiming it had “REALLY BAD RATINGS,” and blasting host Joe Scarborough while the team was still on the air.

The show had just wrapped an interview with Monty Python legend Eric Idle about his new book, and was on an ad break when the president took to Truth Social to unload, writing:

Joe Scarborough’s show has been cut way back, and will soon be “dead!” Too predictable and boring! REALLY BAD RATINGS, just like the rest of MSNOW (MSDNC!). President DJT

After the break, co-host Jonathan Lemire flagged the post, reading it aloud, quipping that the president “seems tired of the Monty Python segments.”

“I didn’t think this was boring!” Scarborough mockingly protested, holding up Idle’s book.

As images on the screen turned to a live shot of the White House, Lemire added, “There’s the flickering light of MSDNC on through his window.”

“Exactly!” Scarborough joined in. “Number one cable show in the morning in Washington, D.C., Mr. President.”

Co-host Mika Brzezinski followed with a dig at concurrently running Fox & Friends over at network rival Fox News: “But you don’t have to, you could go to the ‘curvy couch.’”

Scarborough continued, addressing Trump: “I asked you not to watch. I specifically said, ‘Please Mr. President, don’t watch our show.’ It’s not good for you. It’s not good for America. Just watch channels where they say sh*t that you like. You don’t like Eric Idle? I love Eric Idle!”

“Eric Idle is very happy with himself so maybe [Trump] looks at that and he’s concerned about it,” the host mused.

Scarborough kept going: “Can I ask, is he talking about, like, the show coming to an end? Does that mean I get to sleep in? That would be awesome to get a little sleep!”

“I mean, that could be the silver lining here,” Lemire quipped.
