Joe Scarborough Cackles at Joe Rogan’s Ken Paxton Whiff After Guest’s Rant: ‘Classic Move!’

Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough mocked podcasting comedian Joe Rogan for claiming he “doesn’t know enough” about Texas senatorial candidate Ken Paxton (R) as his guest Ron White trashed the state’s attorney general as “too corrupt” for office.

The MS NOW crew rolled back the clip of White, also a comedian, on a Wednesday episode of The Joe Rogan Experience unloading on Paxton’s past scandals.

“They fired four of the eight people that turned him in. He did, fired them. And then he realized that he was going to get f*cking sued over it and he came up with a solution he was going to give them $3 million to settle this case. And then the House said, no, it’s not coming from us. And then they sued [for] $6 million. And guess who paid that $6 million? You and me!” White said, explaining that Paxton was then impeached by the House but reinstated by the Senate, adding: “He’s a criminal, just a piece of sh*t.”

“I don’t know enough about him, but I do know that they’re surprised that Talarico is ahead of him in the polls,” Rogan replied, to which his guest retorted that he was not surprised.

Reacting to the clip, Scarborough trashed Rogan’s response: “That is such a classic move. That is such a classic move. It’s a, ‘I don’t know enough about him.’”

“‘I just don’t watch, I just haven’t been keeping up with things,” co-host Mika Brzezinski mocked.

Scarborough continued, addressing Rogan: “‘I don’t know enough about Ken Paxton’ – you don’t know enough about Ken Paxton? You live in Texas? You do this every day; you talk for 80 hours a day?”

He went on, saying, “But haven’t you always found it’s people, like, that are on the Trump train and then you say, ‘OK’ and they say something that’s just completely wrong. You say, ‘Well, actually, you know, it’s just the opposite of that; let me give you this. This is what The Wall Street Journal said’ – ‘Ah, I don’t believe it’ – ‘Well, this is what Fox News said’ – ‘Ah, I don’t follow the news! I don’t know too much. I’m so confused.’”

“It’s like, yeah, this whole thing about I don’t know about Ken Paxton. Did Joe Rogan really just say that?” the host asked.

“Joe Rogan is a smart guy who’s engaged in this stuff? I don’t buy it for a minute that he doesn’t know about Paxton,” co-host Willie Geist said. “Why he would carry the water for Ken Paxton, who David Drucker says is the most corrupt politician he has ever covered in his long career.”

“That is not genuine at all,” Brzezinski added.
