‘I Looked at His Ass’: Trump Confesses To Checking Out Senator to Confirm He’s ‘A Great Athlete’
President Donald Trump said he “examined” the body of Sen. Jon Husted (R-OH) during a rally on Monday night.
Speaking in Youngstown, Ohio, Trump urged supporters to get out and vote for Husted, who is facing a tough reelection challenge from former Sen. Sherrod Brown. The president also praised Vivek Ramaswamy, the Republican nominee for governor.
“We have to get Vivek, and we have to get John, gotta get them in,” Trump told the crowd. “And I think they will. I think we’re gonna be in good shape.”
The president then took a bizarre detour to marvel at Husted, 59, for his figure. The senator was an all-American defensive back at the University of Dayton. Trump said:
But I’m standing over here, and I don’t do this with men very often. I started examining his body because I didn’t know he was a great athlete. And I looked, and I watched up and down. I looked at his ass and I looked at the whole– and then I looked at his hands. Look at his hands. He’s got these, like, claws. And I got it. You are a great athlete. I didn’t know that because he doesn’t talk about that. Congratulations. Now, they finally know. That was very good.”
Trump then explained that former NFL head coach Jon Gruden had told him about Husted’s athleticism.
“And it was Jon Gruden that told me that,” Trump continued. “We would’ve never known. And you made a great speech. He’s a fantastic man. He’s a very respected guy.
The president followed by seamlessly pivoting to wishing everyone a happy Columbus Day.
Trump hasn’t been shy about praising male athletes’ physiques. In May, he fawned over New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart.
“No, I’m looking at the legs,” Trump said at a rally in New York. “He’s this beautiful guy. He’s got legs like tree trunks! This is not a good thing for women. This would not be good. No, it’s no good.”
