Fox’s Lawrence Jones Chides Tiger Woods for Calling Trump Before DUI Arrest: ‘He Can’t Drag the President Into This’
Fox & Friends co-host Lawrence Jones scolded Tiger Woods on Friday after it was revealed that the golf icon called President Donald Trump before he was arrested for DUI in Florida.
Jones’ remark came a day after it was revealed in police bodycam footage that Woods bragged to the officers that “I was just talking to the president” at the scene of last week’s rollover crash.
After a segment on the bodycam video on Friday’s show, Jones criticized Woods for his boast to the cops.
“You can’t drag the president into this,” Jones said. “Just makes the situation worse.”
The new video was released on Thursday by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, showing the moments leading up to Woods’ arrest for DUI after officers found he was carrying hydrocodone pills in his pocket.
The new footage also shows Woods struggling to stay awake while covered with a blanket in the police cruiser, and explains that he was looking at his phone, “and next thing I know, boom.”
