Fox Business Carries On Without Maria Bartiromo, Doesn’t Mention Her in 3-Hour Morning Show
Fox Business returned to its regular morning lineup without Maria Bartiromo — without any mention of the veteran host — a day after the network cut ties with her.
Mornings With Maria, now called Mornings With Fox Business, began at 6 a.m. ET on Friday with Cheryl Casone at the helm.
In three hours of morning programming, Bartiromo’s name wasn’t mentioned at all, except during an apparent flub as Casone went to commercial.
“Breaking data on deck next hour. You are watching Mornings with Maria … Fox Business. We will be right back,” she said.
A day earlier, Fox News Media abruptly announced that it was parting ways with Bartiromo after more than a decade at the network. An explosive Status report later revealed that the anchor had shared confidential internal guidance about the network’s coverage of President Donald Trump with the White House.
“In doing so, Bartiromo not only effectively betrayed her employer, but also disclosed confidential company information, violating the terms of her employment agreement,” Status’s Oliver Darcy wrote.
“We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter,” the network said in a statement on Thursday.
Fox also announced the new title for Bartiromo’s namesake show, rotating different personalities to the hosting desk. The network will do the same with Bartiromo’s Sunday show, Sunday Morning Futures, starting with Jason Chaffetz this weekend.
The network also parted ways with Bartiromo’s executive producer, Patrick Ignozzi., as first reported by Puck’s Dylan Beyers.
Not long after her firing, Bartiromo’s bio page and the pages featuring video content for both of her shows were scrubbed from Fox Business’s website.
On Thursday night, Trump broke his silence on Bartiromo’s departure, posting on Truth Social, “I can’t believe Maria Bartiromo is no longer going to have her great show(s) on FoxNews/Business. Three different shows, always number one. Maria is a total professional, and a true warrior. Her fans, of which there are many, will not be happy. God bless you, Maria!”
