‘Fat Sajak Does It Again!’ Jimmy Kimmel Savages Trump’s $5K Dividend Pitch With Cutting Stormy Daniels Jab

Jimmy Kimmel tore into President Donald Trump’s promise to hand Americans $5,000 if Republicans win the midterms, mocking it as another in a chain of failed dividend promises before unloading a Stormy Daniels jab and revealing the “only way” to get money out of the president.

The late-night host targeted Trump’s proposal during Thursday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, after the president unveiled the pitch at the GOP midterm convention in Texas the night before.

“Trump is drowning right now. Everything he tries has failed. Everything he promised, he hasn’t delivered. His approval rating is 33%. He has to win this midterm election, or he’s in a lot of trouble. And so now his solution is to pay people for voting,” Kimmel said.

Kimmel then rolled footage of Trump telling the convention: “If the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the United States Senate, both of them, because of our economic, tremendous economic success, I will issue a dividend to every adult citizen in the United States of America for $5,000.”

The comedian abruptly cut to ecstatic contestants on The Price Is Right before declaring: “That’s right. If you win, if they win, you get $5,000!”

“Fat Sajak does it again, folks!” the host cracked, referencing former Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak.

“I spent all day today trying to decide whether that was a bribe or a lie. And I think it might be both things. I think Donald Trump just invented the ‘lie-be’,” Kimmel continued, adding: “How nice of the president to offer us our own money. This is like if I went in your bathroom and unplugged your electric toothbrush, put it in a box, and gave it to you for Christmas. That’s what it is. How dumb with a ‘B’ does he know his supporters are?”

He went on to question how Trump would finance the proposal, claiming a $5,000 payment to every adult American would add $1.3 trillion to the deficit.

Kimmel then turned to promises Trump has made in the past, including a border wall funded by Mexico and an earlier tariff dividend.

“If you believe Donald Trump is going to give you $5,000 if the Republicans win, I have a Mexican-paid wall, a privately funded ballroom, and a three-day-long Iran war to sell you, OK?” he said.

Kimmel saved his sharpest punchline for last, invoking adult film star Stormy Daniels, who received a $130,000 so-called hush money payment from Trump ahead of the 2016 presidential election over her claim that she had a sexual encounter with the president, which he has denied.

“This $5,000 it’s just not going to happen,” Kimmel said. “The only way to get money out of Donald Trump is to have sex with him and promise not to talk about it, OK? I mean, almost nothing he says is true.”
