Bill O’Reilly Says He Thinks Trump Made Deal With Putin to ‘Not Help Iran’ in Exchange for Money

Bill O’Reilly believes President Donald Trump made a deal with Russia in order to keep them out of the ongoing Iran war.

O’Reilly joined NewsNation’s Leland Vittert on Monday evening and he discussed Trump signing a major diesel deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin and lifting sanctions off of Russia. O’Reilly has long called Putin a major threat to the U.S. and he admitted Trump sees the Russian leader “in a different way.”

“I watched the No Spin News earlier. You said Putin only has a good relationship with Satan. Fact check, true. Why is Donald Trump going down the same road he’s gone down, what, eight or nine times of giving Putin something real and then hoping in return he’s not going to get screwed once again by the Russian dictator?” Vittert asked.

O’Reilly argued the lifting of sanctions was in exchange for Russia staying out of the U.S. war in Iran and not responding to strikes made by the U.S.

He said:

Well, it’s impossible to answer the second part of your question, but I spent all weekend trying to figure this out. And what I came up with, and what is true, I believe, because The Wall Street Journal echoed it today, is that Trump and Putin made a deal that Russia would not help Iran. Iran is evil number one right now in Trump’s eyes, and Putin and Russia were helping Iran. Arm them and intel, all things like that. So apparently Putin said, okay, we won’t do that. And if you want to bomb Iran, we’re not going to react to it, not going help them. But in return, you got to give us some money in the form of relief of sanctions. I believe that is the deal they made.

Trump dismissed concerns about Russia and China helping Iran just last week.

“I see so many comments from the Radical Left Morons and Lunatics that China and Russia are helping the “wonderful” Islamic Republic of Iran. If they are, it’s at a very low level, but I don’t believe they are at all,” the president wrote on Truth Social.
