Bill O’Reilly Admits Democrats ‘Probably Right’ That Ilhan Omar Raid Was ‘Political Retribution’

Bill O’Reilly admitted Democrats are “probably right” about a federal raid of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) being “political retribution” by President Donald Trump’s administration.

O’Reilly joined NewsNation’s Katie Pavlich on Wednesday evening and said he doesn’t believe Omar’s raid will have any effect on the upcoming midterm elections.

“I don’t think it’s going to affect the vote in November at all. If she did something wrong — if it’s just a date problem, then that’s not going anywhere — if she did something wrong then she should be held to account, but is it going to be a national issue for November in the midterms? No,” he said.

When asked by Pavlich about Democrats crying “political retribution” over the targeting of Omar, O’Reilly admitted they’re probably on the money. Some Republicans, like Marjorie Taylor Greene, have also called out the raid.

“Well, they’re probably right,” he said with a chuckle.

The former Fox News host added, “The Trump administration doesn’t like Congressman Omar at all and she is an example of a radical leftist who will change every facet of this country if she could so motivation…look, I’m not gonna read anybody’s mind. If she broke the law, as I said, she should be held to account.”

The Wall Street Journal reported that Omar’s passport, cellphone, notebooks, and personal computers were seized by federal agents this week in a raid on her Washington, D.C. home.

Authorities have also reportedly issued more than a dozen subpoenas, including to members of Omar’s family.

The investigation is reportedly focused on Omar’s citizenship status and has the ultimate goal of revoking her status. The search warrant on her home reportedly mentioned multiple potential immigration crimes, including false statements and fraud in immigration paperwork.

Trump claimed hours after the raid that he had no involvement in the raid while he also slammed Omar as “crooked.”

“I’ve always found her to be totally crooked, personally. But that has nothing to do with me. I think she’s a terrible person, just a complainer. She comes from a country that is a non-country. And then she comes over here and she complains about our Constitution. I think she’s a terrible person. But that’s really up to the DOJ. I have nothing to do with it,” he said.

Omar, meanwhile, accused the president of weaponizing federal law enforcement to go after a political enemy.

I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation,” she wrote on X. “I will not be silenced.”
