‘Stupid!’ Charlamagne Torches JD Vance Over Begging Voters for ‘Another Chance’

Charlamagne Tha God called out Vice President JD Vance on Thursday for begging voters for “another chance” ahead of the midterm elections.

During a recent appearance on the All In podcast, the vice president tried to make the case for Republicans when he said:

There’s a lot of good that’s been done, but there’s a lot of work left to do. Don’t give power to the people who caused the problems that we’re fixing. Give us another chance, or give us another couple years, to continue to work on the amazing things that we’ve been doing for the past two years.

Vance was promptly roasted by Democrats for the viral clip.

In response, Charlamagne had a question for the vice president.

“What happened with the chance you already have?” he said on The Breakfast Club.

“You’re the vice president right now! Donald Trump is the president right now! Republicans control Congress right now! I’m not the highest grade of weed in the dispensary, nor am I the strongest avenger, but based on my calculations, this is the chance!”

“OK, so once again, I think voters have every right to ask a very basic question before anybody starts talking about another couple of years. What happened with the time we’ve already given you?” he said.

Charlamagne went on to say that voters going into the midterms will be primarily focused on the job that Republicans have done, not promises for the future. He later called Vance’s comments “a stupid thing for a sitting vice president to say.”

“You know what I’m thinking about as a voter?” Charlamagne said. “What did you promise? What did you deliver? What didn’t you deliver? What got better? What got worse?”

“Is it working or is it not working? If the Trump administration believes it has accomplishments it can point to, then point to them! Make the case! I don’t give a damn about you pleading for another chance,” he said.

“If you were doing the things you promised, you wouldn’t even have to ask. It would be our pleasure to vote for you again if you were actually doing the the work,” he said.

“But guess what? Voters heard promises about affordability. We heard promises about lowering prices. We heard promises about affordable housing. We heard promises about peace and ending wars. Voters heard promises about making life better for working Americans, and none of those promises were kept.”
