‘Really Sick in the Mind!’ Left-Wing Podcaster Calls Christian Republican Voters ‘Cancer in Our Country’
Progressive podcaster Jennifer Welch argued that Christians who voted for President Donald Trump were “a cancer in our country.”
Welch, co-host of the I’ve Had It podcast, reacted to the news that the Trump administration would be booting more than half a million people from Obamacare. Vice President JD Vance argued that the anti-fraud task force has claimed that it’s removing those enrolled in the program illegitimately.
In a YouTube video posted Wednesday, Welch, who recently had Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) on her show, predicted that such a decision would have deadly consequences.
“So, they want to come out and say, ‘OK, here’s the optics of this: We’re attacking Obama,'” Welch said, adding:
But let’s– what’s behind that? What’s behind that are people right now in the United States of America that are sick. They have cancer. They have chronic diseases or illnesses — children, elderly people, anybody. Biology comes for everybody. Nobody’s exempt from it, and this regime is so cruel.
This is an attack on sick people and probably an attack on poor people, as well, because that’s all they have left. They’ve muddied up women. They’re muddying up the LGBTQ+ community. They’ve completely dismantled the Voting Rights Act. They’re firing Black people from the Pentagon. Let’s go after sick people, too. That’s who these people are.
Welch then shifted her focus to conservative Christians, insisting that the ones who voted for Trump were “sick in the mind.”
“And if you’re a Christian, and you have a lot of faith in your faith, and you believe it, and you vote for this,” Welch continued, “You’re an abject hypocrite of the highest order and a cancer in our country. A part of our electorate is really sick in the mind that they can’t cut through that, that there’s not enough critical thinking to see what he’s doing there.”
