Fox News Host Reveals Trump Made Her Husband Transportation Secretary ‘Because That Was All That’s Left’

Fox News host Rachel Campos-Duffy revealed on Tuesday that President Donald Trump offered her husband, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, the job because it “was all that’s left.”

Campos-Duffy made the revelation during an appearance on The Katie Miller Podcast, hosted by Katie Miller, the wife of top White House adviser Stephen Miller.

Asked about the conversation in which Trump gave Duffy the role, Campos-Duffy spoke for her husband, telling Miller, “He said he wanted to serve the president in any way. He ended up in transportation because that was all that’s left.”

Interjecting, Duffy, a former Fox host himself, clarified, “But the president told me — and I believe this with him — he said, ‘If I wasn’t the president, I would pick the Department of Transportation over any department. It’s the best department, and I’m gonna give it to you,’ because he’s a builder, and whether it’s roads and bridges, like he’s talking about concrete and bridges and designs and colors, and he loves aviation so that we have a president who cares about, um, the infrastructure of America. Usually, presidents don’t give a sh — darn.”

“He did say, ‘Don’t F it up,'” Campos-Duffy added.

Coincidentally, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and his wife, Jeanette Dousdebes Rubio, shared a similarly amusing exchange between spouses on Miller’s podcast earlier this month.

The pair were discussing Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s strict diet, which Rubio mocked as consisting of “sauerkraut and meat,” when his wife undercut his claim that he supported Kennedy’s “Make America Healthy Again” movement.

“I’m in favor of MAHA. Like I think people should be healthy,” Rubio said.

“No, he is not. He is completely not,” his wife interjected.

Asked what her husband eats instead, she replied simply, “Pop-Tarts.”

“You eat all the things you should not be eating. Every single thing,” she continued, later adding, “He loves fast food. He loves it all.”
