A viral video of internet provocateur Tucker Carlson appears to demonstrate that he often contradicts himself when it comes to his thoughts on his colleagues and political contemporaries.

A four-and-a-half-minute video of Carlson repeatedly flip-flopping was shared on X by freelance filmmaker and longtime Carlson critic Nathan Livingstone Wednesday.

“Tucker Carlson COMPLETELY CONTRADICTING HIMSELF over and over again for 4 and a 1/2 minutes,” Livingstone captioned the video. “Tucker Carlson: ‘I try to be transparent so I don’t have to keep track of different storylines or lies.’ Also Tucker Carlson:”

Throughout the clip, Carlson alternately praises and disparages various political commentators and countries.

In one segment, Carlson says, “A lot of young men in America, mostly white but not exclusively, listen to [far-right commentator] Nick Fuentes really carefully. This kid is the single most influential figure among young white men, and not just white, actually.”

The video then shifts to a second segment with Megyn Kelly in which Carlson said, “Who cares about Fuentes? Talk about irrelevant.”

In another, he praises commentator Douglas Murray as “the one person we know who has crystal clarity on what’s happening, not just in this country, but in the world” and “someone who’s watched it and chronicled it for years now.” The video then cuts to a clip of Carlson saying, “I know Douglas, but he’s hardly an expert on anything.”

Of author and conservative commentator David Rubin, Carlson first insisted he’s “like a child” and added, “You don’t pay attention to Dave.”

Rubin himself says in the next clip, “Tucker blurbed my book,” before he reads from the blurb, ‘Dave Rubin is one of the bravest, smartest people I know, as well as a tremendous television presence.'”

Carlson also says of Israel, “I come to Israel and the infrastructure we’re flying in, and I said to my buddy, I was like, man, the person looks great. I love the agriculture in Israel because it’s beautiful.”

In a separate interview, he later insisted, “Israel, which is one of the single ugliest countries in the world. Nothing of beauty has been built there since 1948.”
