Trump Snipes at Reporter — Then Apologizes After Hearing She’s With Pro-MAGA Outlet: ‘Sorry! Daily Wire is Good!’

President Donald Trump snapped at a reporter for disseminating what he called “fake news” — but quickly retracted his claim after she said she works for the pro-MAGA outlet The Daily Wire.

Trump was first asked by a different reporter, “Have you investigating at all closed down or corrupted Starlink in Ukraine? Who ordered that interruption?”

After he answered that he doesn’t know but would “like to find out.”

The Daily Wire’s Mary Margaret Olohan then asked, “Mr. President Emmanuel Macron is blaming the Iran war, and you, essentially, for the rioting in France right now.”

“I don’t think he is. Now. I think that’s fake news. Who are you with?” Trump responded.

“No, sir. Mary Margaret with The Daily Wire,” she said.

“Oh, The Daily Wire is good,” Trump answered.

On Monday Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) said whomever was responsible for suspending Starshield in Ukraine during a Russian missile attack last week would be held “fully accountable.”

Fitzpatrick wrote on X, “I will be speaking with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his team this week to discuss Starshield, sanctions, and other matters pertaining to the defense of our strong ally, Ukraine. I will be assuring President Zelenskyy that anyone who attempts to limit the use of Starshield for Ukraine will be fully investigated and will be held fully accountable, to include public congressional oversight hearings, and immediate harsh and punitive budget cuts to any responsible agency or agency head.”

He also called on the United States to assist Ukraine.

The United States must provide any and all defensive equipment that Ukraine needs to defend itself. The United States must not import a single drop of Russian oil. Sanctions against the Russian regime must be harsher and stronger than they’ve ever been before. Each and every one of these items will be brought to the House Floor—and each and every one of these items will pass on the House Floor by an overwhelming margin.

It’s unclear what statement from Macron Olohan referenced. Reporting from The Times of India indicates the voice in a video that purportedly depicts Macron is AI-generated.
