Ted Cruz Goes Off On ‘Left-Wing Transgender’ Witches In Bizarre Midterm Campaign Rant

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) made a bizarre statement about Democratic voters being transgender witches and lunatics during a pre-midterm interview with Alaskan Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK) Saturday.

Fox News’s Aishah Hasnie asked Cruz why so many midterm races were so close, including Sullivan’s. He currently trails Democrat Mary Peltola by two points, with 46.2% to her 48.5%.

“What do you think is happening? Are the polls wrong, are Republicans just not polling well, is it gas prices? What do you think it is?” Hasnie asked.

“Look, it’s all of the above,” Cruz said. “This is a close election. This is a real fight, and we cannot take this for granted. There are eight to 10 Senate races that are tied or within the margin of error, they could go either way,” Cruz said, continuing:

Now, we could have a great election night. You know, what I am hoping is that we hold all of our Senate seats and we win, gain Senate seats in Michigan, and in New Hampshire, and Minnesota, and Georgia. That’s possible. That would be a great night. We would come out with 57 Republicans. That would be a home run night.

But it’s also possible that we come into the night and we lose five to eight seats, and the Democrats end up with 55 Democrats — that would be a disaster. And it’s right on the edge, and it all comes down to turnout. You asked why this is happening — this happens a lot in midterms, where the party out of power, they’re usually ticked off. And right now, if you’re a left-wing transgender witch, you hate Donald Trump.

And you’re gonna show up, you’re energized. and the question is, does everybody else show up? Do conservatives show up? Do Libertarians show up? Just commonsense Americans who are not lunatics who don’t think Communism and Islamism are a good idea. If regular, ordinary Americans show up to vote, Dan Sullivan’s gonna be reelected here in Alaska, and we’re gonna win Senate seats and House seats all over the country.
