‘Seems Lazy’: Fox’s Brian Kilmeade Pulls No Punches In Hammering Ken Paxton’s Campaigning
Fox News host Brian Kilmeade pulled no punches on Friday in listing off Ken Paxton’s faults as a campaigner in his Texas U.S. Senate race.
Anchor Martha MacCallum kicked off the conversation on her show, The Story, by asking, “I mean, some analysts, including Mark Halperin, believe that Alaska and Texas are likely to close more Republican as they get closer to the end of this race. What’s your take?”
“Alaska, definitely. In fact, I saw a poll: Dan Sullivan’s up for the first time, maybe in the whole cycle. You’ve got the two Dans, Dan L. and Dan S. Sullivan, or whatever the initial is. There’s a person in the race who was really put there by the Democrats, and then you have that story about Mary Peltola last week, that she’s a horrendous person to be around. Nine staffers came forward and talked about how she is really abusive. She fired two people on the day that she won the primary, and she really had no retort, except that she was going through a rough time in her life. She’s the one, I forgot, there was a person with a rough time in their life,” replied Kilmeade, adding:
And the other one is, I think Texas is interesting, because I’m looking at how much has just poured in there. He has just gotten $122 million from one PAC, $66 million from another PAC, and then another $20 million has poured in. That’s a lot of money to spend in 30 days, so they’re really looking to gain two points that way. The thing is, if John Fetterman were running in Texas, a John Fetterman-like person, he’d win. I think he’d win, because Ken Paxton has huge problems. Great attorney general, extremely loyal to the MAGA movement, but a very bad campaigner. He seems lazy, and seems a little bit ungrateful, judging by some of the things the New York Times got and he hasn’t denied. However…
“Saying that the convention didn’t help him a lot. Yeah. Like, maybe, you know, I mean, I’m not saying this about him for a bit, but maybe it’s you!” MacCallum added.
“We were in Texas for him,” Kilmeade added.
“Ask yourself, could it be me?” MacCallum quipped.
“But James Talarico is changing, I think, insincerely. He can’t say that he’s a moderate, because Hasan Piker just outed him yesterday. He said, “I put Talarico in that spot, and he’s going to do what I tell him.” Is Hasan Piker a moderate?” Kilmeade argued as the conversation continued.
