‘Morning Joe’ Segment Erupts Over Bombshell Report that Netanyahu Was Warned About Attack Before Oct. 7: ‘Do I Look Stupid to You?!’

Joe Scarborough got into a heated, screaming match with a guest Tuesday over the report that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was warned about a Hamas attack days before Oct. 7.

The Haaretz report, citing three senior sources, claimed that Netanyahu spoke with United Arab Emirates President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan 10 days before the Oct. 7 attack.

During this call, the president reportedly gave Netanyahu an explicit warning that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was planning an attack.

In response, Netanyahu reportedly reassured the UAE president that Israel was prepared for a potential attack. Additionally, the prime minister claimed that Hamas’s focus was on the West Bank as opposed to Israel itself.

At the start of a Morning Joe segment, Scarborough referenced another report that accused the Israeli government of funding Hamas in the years leading up to the attack. He then asked pundit Donny Deutsch why Netanyahu would fund an organization with the goal to “exterminate Jews.”

“I can’t explain Bibi,” Deutsch said, “but I just don’t want us to forget — as we’re close to three years to October 7th — that Hamas, to your point, slaughtered, raped, mutilated 1,200 Jews-”

Scarborough quickly cut him off to shift the focus back to Netanyahu. When he felt Deutsch was dodging the question, things began to spiral out of control.

The exchange continued:

SCARBOROUGH: Right, so back to back to my question. So back to my question, Donnie! It’s not like Netanyahu didn’t know he was going to do that because Hamas, said-

DEUTSCH: I don’t know! I-

SCARBOROUGH: -we’re going to exterminate Jews-

DEUTSCH: OK, I’m going to say it again: I can’t argue for Bibi Netanyahu–

SCARBOROUGH: -and Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel-

DEUTSCH: I can only say that let’s not forget that Hamas-

SCARBOROUGH: Who has forgotten it?

DEUTSCH: That’s it! That’s it!

SCARBOROUGH: Listen, who do I look like? Do I look stupid to you?

DEUTSCH: Do I look stupid?

SCARBOROUGH: Look at me! Look at me in my eyes!

DEUTSCH: I’m looking at you in your eyes! Look at me in my eyes!

SCARBOROUGH: And do think that I’m going to be distracted by you saying what I said a million times?

DEUTSCH: Do you think I’m going to be distracted — by the way, I’m not here to defend Bibi Netanyahu. I’m here-

SCARBOROUGH: Donny, I said a million times that Hamas are terrorists!

DEUTSCH: OK, let’s not lose that fact, but I’m not here to defend Bibi Netanyahu!
