Fox News’ Jesse Watters Says Trump’s Promised $5,000 Check Is Like a Woman

Fox News’ Jesse Watters had a unique take on President Donald Trump’s offer to send a $5,000 check to every American should the GOP come out victorious in the midterms.

Speaking on Thursday’s edition of The Five, Watters bizarrely compared Trump’s controversial plan — announced during Wednesday’s GOP Convention in Dallas — to a woman.

“That $5,000 check, Dana, that’s not a bribe,” Watters told Fox anchor Dana Perino.

“We’re calling it an enticement,” he said.

“We don’t know if the check will ever get there. What happens if the Republicans take the House and they balk and don’t write the checks? It’s not Trump’s fault. He just blames congress,” Watters said.

“It’s like a woman,” he added. “Sometimes a woman can entice you, okay? Maybe — it doesn’t mean you’re going home with her but it keeps you interested. It keeps you intrigued and wanting more. That’s what this is about.

“That was your takeaway?” Perino asked.

“That was mine,” Watters said.

Trump has repeatedly promised to send checks to Americans but doesn’t always come through.

At various points, the president promised to send DOGE savings to Americans; rebate checks from tariffs; and a $2,000 “dividend.”

Trump claimed to CBS News’ Jack Fink Thursday that the latest proposal to pay Americans wouldn’t need Congressional approval.

“Well, we think not. I think they will do it if we needed it. But we think not. The country is doing so well, we’ve taken in trillions of dollars in tariffs and other thing,” he said.

“We have now over $20 trillion worth of manufacturing plants and other investments being made in the United States, which is far greater than ever before. And we think it’s something that’ll be good.

“We do have one proviso, and that’s that the money be spent — that people spend their money in the United States. We don’t want to have that money spent in other countries,” he said.  “We think it’s something that’s really good, popular, and it’s a great infusion.”
