Ex-Labor Secretary Ordered Limo Driver to Drop Cash on ‘Partially Nude Dancers’: IG Report

Scandal-scarred former Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer once ordered her driver to literally drop cash on “partially nude dancers” at an Oregon strip club, according to a shocking Inspector General report.

Chavez-DeRemer, 58, resigned in April following allegations she had an inappropriate relationship with a member of her security detail.

The Labor Department IG’s report, released Thursday, confirmed the “inappropriately close and unprofessional” relationship between the married Chavez-DeRemer and the Assistant Special Agent In Charge, or ASAIC, and accused her of “multiple violations” of department policy.

“The OIG did not conclude that the direct evidence reviewed as part of this investigation was sufficient to establish that Chavez-DeRemer and ASAIC 1 engaged in a romantic or sexual relationship. Chavez-DeRemer and ASAIC 1 resigned from federal service,” according to the report.

The shocking “off-the-record” April 2025 visit to the jiggle joint included Chavez-DeRemer ordering her limo driver to come inside with her, according to the IG.

The strip club was previously identified by the New York Post as Angels PDX, near Portland.

The driver was uncomfortable with Chavez-DeRemer’s request and turned to the ASAIC, for guidance, the IG reported:

Chavez-DeRemer subsequently took money from her purse, gave the money to the driver, and directed him to give it to the performer. When the agent resisted and sought guidance from ASAIC 1, ASAIC 1 instructed him to comply with Chavez-DeRemer’s requests. Chavez-DeRemer then took additional money from her purse and asked the agent to drop the bills one by one onto the partially nude woman. The agent again hesitated and sought intervention from ASAIC 1, who told him to follow ChavezDeRemer’s instructions. The agent complied against his wishes.

Chavez-DeRemer was also allegedly known to shun agents from her security detail if they were “too old, physically unfit, overly rule-bound, or ‘too MAGA,'” the report found.

The rejections got to the point where it “complicated” the agency’s ability to staff her security detail, according to the IG.
