‘Call in Right Now!’ Fox & Friends Implores Trump to Weigh in on Michigan’s Miraculous, Controversial Win
It’s the game the whole country is talking about — and the hosts of Fox & Friends Weekend very much want to hear President Donald Trump’s take.
Late Saturday night, Michigan avoided what would have been a catastrophic upset at the hands of Western Michigan by completing a 47-yard Hail Mary on the game’s last play to eke out a miraculous 13-12 victory. But the moment came with controversy, as time appeared — to viewers at home — to have already expired on the previous play. However, after an instant replay review, one second was put back on the game clock — giving the Wolverines a final chance to pull out the win.
Sunday morning on Fox & Friends Weekend, host Rachel Campos-Duffy appealed to President Trump to weigh in on the controversy.
“The whole Internet is divided over this,” Campos-Duffy said. “And what we’re seeing is that, you know, we happen to live in an era where we have a president who weighs in on just about everything. And we’re starting to see people online saying, ‘Help President Trump!’ Help to solve this dilemma.”
Co-host Griff Jenkins added, “I’m very curious — to Rachel’s point — what President Trump thinks about this.
“You think he has an opinion about this?!” Co-host Charlie Hurt added. “Donald Trump has an opinion about this?! Are you kidding?”
“All morning long, we’re all checking Truth Social … we’re all trying to see when he’s gonna weigh in,” Campos-Duffy said. “Mr. President, if you have an opinion on this, you can call in right now to the show! We want to hear what’s going on!”
Ultimately, Campos-Duffy concluded that it is only a matter of time before Trump offers his two cents.
“We’ll keep checking, we’ll keep you posted the second the president weighs in on this — which we’re certain he will,” she said.
