BREAKING: Karoline Leavitt Joining Fox News

In a development that will come as a surprise to very few media observers, former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is joining Fox News.
As first reported by The New York Times and confirmed by Mediaite, Leavitt is joining the network as an on-air contributor. She is expected to start on Nov. 1. The network made an official announcement shortly after the news was reported.
“Karoline’s firsthand experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail gives her a distinct understanding of today’s political landscape,” Suzanne Scott, Fox News Media CEO, said in a statement.
In a statement of her own, Leavitt vowed to provide “the unique perspective and candor that defined my tenure with the Trump administration” in her new role.
Leavitt will join Dana Perino and Kayleigh McEnany as former White House press secretaries on the Fox News roster.
The move comes at a time when Leavitt’s former boss, President Donald Trump, has lodged numerous complaints about Fox. In a Sunday morning post, the president complained about the network not covering his recent rallies to the degree he would like.
“Fox spends more time talking to Communists, Socialists, and Dumocrats, often without rebuttal, and MAGA is not, to put it mildly, happy,” Trump wrote.
But now, in Leavitt, he figures to have an extremely high-profile new surrogate.
This story is breaking.
