BREAKING: Fox News Parts Ways With Maria Bartiromo

Fox News Media has abruptly parted ways with anchor Maria Bartiromo after 12-and-a-half years.

The network announced the stunning news in a press release Thursday afternoon.

“We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter,” the network said in a statement.

Bartiromo’s daily Fox Business show, Mornings With Maria, will be renamed Mornings with Fox Business and hosted by rotating anchors. Her Sunday show, Sunday Morning Futures, will also be helmed by rotating personalities — starting with Jason Chaffetz this upcoming week.

Bartiromo has been a frequent target of criticism in recent years for coverage which many observers believed grew increasingly favorable to President Donald Trump and his administration. She consistently flirted with 2020 election denialism even after her coverage was central to the defamation claims made by Dominion Voting Systems — which Fox News settled for $787.5 million.

On a Dec. 15, 2020 broadcast, Bartiromo flat-out stated that an “intel source” told her “President Trump did in fact win the election.”

The president regularly praised Bartiromo and participated in numerous interviews with her in recent months and years. Politico’s Alex Isenstadt reported, in early 2025, that Trump was so enamored with Bartiromo that he considered making her his vice president.
