JUST IN: Fox’s ‘The Five’ Announces New Co-Host

The highest-rated show in cable news is officially getting a new co-host.

In a Monday afternoon announcement, Fox News revealed that Emily Compagno is permanently joining the cast of The Five — filling the chair that has been technically vacant since Jeanine Pirro departed the show in May 2025. A rotating roster of contributors, including Compagno, have occupied that seat for the past 15 months. But on Monday, the network announced that the job is now Compagno’s for good.

“Emily is a highly accomplished host whose energy and talent have made her a standout across Fox News Media, and we are thrilled to officially welcome her to the show,” Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott said in a press release.

The network announced Compagno will give up her spot on Outnumbered in order to join The Five. Her spot on that show will be occupied by a rotating personality for the time being.

“I couldn’t be more honored to join The Five, a team I have long admired and have been fortunate to work alongside over the years,” Compagno said in a press release. “Having an official seat at the table on what I truly believe is the most fun show on television is an incredible privilege. I am grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to get started.”

Compagno will join a crew that features Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino, Jesse Watters each day. Harold Ford Jr. and Jessica Tarlov rotate as the show’s fifth co-host.

The Five has been the top show on cable news for 19 consecutive quarters. In the second quarter of 2026, it averaged 3.6 million viewers and 322,000 in the advertiser-coveted adults 25-54 demo.
