‘I’m Not a Killer!’ Man Nabbed in Trump Crackdown on Illegal Voters Rips ‘Excessive’ Feds

A 72-year-old man arrested in the Justice Department’s crackdown on alleged voter fraud in California bashed the feds for their “excessive”early-morning operation that nabbed him in his pajamas.

Omar Munoz, a green card holder from Belize, is accused of voting illegally in at least four elections. But he protested that is was all a big misunderstanding during multiple local TV interviews on Tuesday, one day after he and 27 others were charged with voter fraud in the Golden State.

“I say, what is happening? They’re getting a lot of people,” Munoz told Fox 11 in Los Angeles. “I look around, I say, ‘But, I’m not a killer!'”

Munoz claimed he wasn’t the one who voted illegally multiple times. Instead, he suggested “somebody” working at the chocolate factory, where he apparently also works, must have stolen his identify and cast ballots on his behalf.

“I know that can happen,” Munoz said.

“So you feel like someone was maybe voting with your name?” Fox 11’s Matthew Seedorff asked.

“Could be,” Munoz said.

An apparent family member with a tattoo of Kobe Bryant’s Nike logo on his arm lingered in the background and leaned against a fence as Munoz spoke to Seedorff.

The charges against Munoz come as President Donald Trump’s administration has been cracking down on suspected voter fraud from coast-to-coast — a push that started a few months back and has appeared to ramp up in the weeks leading up to the midterm elections.

Munoz also spoke to KTLA 5 from his home in Commerce, an industrial town about 6 miles south of Downtown LA. He complained the feds roughed him up when they arrested him before sunrise.

“I got injured. I fell twice,” Munoz said.

As he spoke, KTLA 5 ran some photos obtained by the California Post, showing Munoz being hauled off in his red pajama pants and a beige T-shirt.

The Belizean then ripped the feds some more, telling reporter Carlos Saucedo he couldn’t believe how big the operation was.

“[It was] too much, excessive,” he said. “Six cars, helicopter, you know. It was a show.”

He made a similar comment to Fox 11, saying “politics is a nice chess game,” but “unfortunately they used me as one of their props” — or pawns, as it were.
