Fox News Investigation Reveals Who Is Behind Violent Protests Rocking France: ‘Chaos Inc’

Dozens of organizations including “revolutionary socialist groups” and “Palestinian-solidarity” movements have been amplifying the riots and protests which have rocked France, according to a Monday report from Fox News Digital.

Anchor Bill Hemmer read from the report during a segment on America’s Newsroom.

“Of the 54 organizations identified in the October protest ecosystem, 16 — or only about one in three — are student or youth organizations, including communist youth groups and a Muslim student organization,” he said. “The remaining 38 include adult-led communist groups, labor unions, political parties, revolutionary-left organizations, advocacy groups and international propaganda outlets.”

The report pushed back on the claims the protests and riots have strictly been fueled by agitated students, which was the prevailing narrative at the outset.

Here’s a key slice from the online report, which dubbed the organizations “Chaos Inc”:

They include Gilets jaunes, or “Yellow Vests,” a radical far-left group that led protests with other groups this weekend, and far-left socialist political party La France Insoumise (LFI), or France Unbowed.

From the outset, far-left socialist and communist organizations helped organize and amplify France’s student revolt, using grievances over school conditions as a pretext to mobilize a broader political struggle against capitalism, government austerity, policing and military spending.

Fox’s report comes after jarring footage showed thousands of protesters and rioters looting businesses, attacking police officers, and burning buildings — including a historic town hall building in central France — this past weekend.

Fox News correspondent Stephanie Bennett reported on the carnage on Sunday, revealing more than 600 police officers were injured and nearly 2,000 rioters were arrested between Saturday and Sunday.

After reading from the Chaos Inc. story, Hemmer brought on Tablet contributor Marc Weitzmann to give an on-the-ground assessment of the destruction.

“France has never seen anything like it,” Weitzmann said. He then said it was clear the riots and protests included more than just upset students — he said they were full of people who “hate” the nation.

“There certainly are some organizations behind it… but you know, you only weaponize people that can be weaponized,” he added. “Part of the hatred, part of the anger, is genuine, and that’s the real problem of the country right now.”
