Fox Business swiftly deleted longtime anchor Maria Bartiromo’s biography from its website, just hours after announcing her shocking exit from the network — which came without an on-air sign-off.

Bartiromo, 58, had been a huge presence on the network for more than a decade when her departure was announced Thursday in a very concisely worded statement.

“We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter,” the network said in a statement.

Bartiromo’s daily Fox Business show, Mornings With Maria, will be renamed Mornings with Fox Business and feature a changing set of anchors. Her Fox News Sunday show, Sunday Morning Futures, will also be helmed by rotating personalities — starting with former Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz this upcoming week.

The network did not appear to acknowledge the end of Bartiromo’s tenure on air.

News of Bartiromo’s split with Fox shook the media world, with some slamming her role in pushing pro-Trump 2020 presidential election conspiracies, to wondering about her next move — including speculation that she may become the next White House Press Secretary after the departure of Karoline Leavitt.

That rumor was quickly shot down by media reporters including Aidan McLaughlin, former Mediaite editor in chief who now serves as Vanity Fair’s Washington correspondent.

“Bartiromo is not leaving for a job in the Trump admin, I’m told,” McLaughlin wrote on X.

“Holy crap,” wrote The Guardian’s media reporter Jeremy Barr.

He added, “Maria Bartiromo has apparently been off the air since the early part of August, but it appears that we as media reporters missed it.”

Lengthy vacations in August are not unusual for cable news personalities.

Barre later added, “A reminder that Maria Bartiromo sat at Trump’s table during Inauguration and was also appointed to the board of the Kennedy Center (though so was Laura Ingraham).”
