Trump Targets New Late Night Host ‘Deranged Lunatic’ Seth Meyers: ‘Probably Illegal!’

Seth Meyers mocks Trump on Late Night

President Donald Trump is targeting a new late night host in Seth Meyers, a man whose coverage of him, the president suggested, could be “illegal.”

“Seth Meyers of NBC may be the least talented person to ‘perform’ live in the history of television. In fact, he may be the WORST to perform, live or otherwise,” Trump wrote on Saturday on Truth Social.

The president is already not a big fan of modern late night hosts in general, having publicly blasted Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert plenty recently.

“I watched his show the other night for the first time in years. In it he talked endlessly about electric catapults on aircraft carriers which I complain about as not being as good as much less expensive steam catapults. On and on he went, a truly deranged lunatic. Why does NBC waste its time and money on a guy like this??? – NO TALENT, NO RATINGS, 100% ANTI TRUMP, WHICH IS PROBABLY ILLEGAL!!!” Trump wrote.

Meyers has mocked Trump this week over his overseas trip, saying Asia was giving him “the royal treatment he so desperately craves,” but doesn’t receive here.

“He wishes he could get the same treatment back here at home. He made it clear, for example, that he’s super-jealous of China’s authoritarian government,” Meyers said.

Trump has set his sights on Meyers in the past. In August, he took to Truth Social to say he was going to be investigating rumors that NBC was extending Meyers’s contract. Meyers, however, renewed his contract to 2028 already in 2024.

“There is a sick rumor going around that Fake News NBC extended the contract of one of the least talented Late Night television hosts out there, Seth Meyers,” the president wrote. “He has no Ratings, Talent, or Intelligence, and the Personality of an insecure child. So, why would Fake News NBC extend this dope’s contract. I don’t know, but I’ll definitely be finding out!!!”
