President Donald Trump went on a rant against musician Bruce Springsteen in a Thursday morning Truth Social post, calling for a boycott and even targeting Springsteen’s looks.
Trump called Springsteen a “total loser” with “Trump Derangement Syndrome” after Springsteen opened a recent show with a rant against the president and his policies.
“Bad, and very boring singer, Bruce Springsteen, who looks like a dried up prune who has suffered greatly from the work of a really bad plastic surgeon, has long had a horrible and incurable case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, sometimes referred to as TDS,” Trump wrote.
He then bragged about his 2024 presidential election win and encouraged people to avoid dropping money on seeing Springsteen perform his hits live.
“The guy is a total loser who spews hate against a President who won a Landslide Election, including the popular vote, all Seven Swing States, and 86% of the Counties across America,” Trump wrote. “Under Sleepy Joe and the Dems, our Country was DEAD, and now we have the ‘tottest’ Country, by far, anywhere in the World. MAGA SHOULD BOYCOTT HIS OVERPRICED CONCERTS, WHICH SUCK. SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.”
Springsteen, a longtime critic of Trump and outspoken Democrat, went on a rant against the president during a recent performance in Minneapolis. Earlier this year, he released a song called “Streets of Minneapolis,” about the fatal shootings of American citizens Renee Good and Alex Pretti by federal immigration officials in the city of Minneapolis.
Springsteen blasted the administration’s mass deportation policies and more at his Minneapolis concert.
“This White House is destroying the American idea and our reputation around the world,” he told the crowd. “To many, we are no longer looked upon as an often imperfect but strong defender of democracy standing for the global good. We are no longer the land of the free and the home of the brave. We are now, to many, America the reckless, unpredictable, predatory rogue nation. That is this administration’s and this president’s legacy. This is happening now.”
