FBI Says J6er Pardoned by Trump Wrote Facebook Post Calling for Judges to Be Executed

A Georgia man who was pardoned by President Donald Trump is facing legal troubles again, after the FBI says he wrote Facebook posts threatening federal judges — and it looks like he has written numerous other disturbing posts.
Cleveland Grover Meredith Jr. intended to participate in the protests that turned violent at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, but he got delayed by car trouble and arrived after the riots had ended. That didn’t prevent Meredith (who goes by the nickname “Cleve”) from running afoul of the law, however.
According to a Department of Justice press release, while Meredith was at a hotel in Washington, D.C. about a mile from the Capitol on Jan. 7, 2021, he sent a text message to a relative that “included a threat directed toward House Speaker Pelosi,” specifically to “put a bullet” in her head.
The FBI arrested Meredith and after he gave consent to search his truck and trailer that were parked at the hotel, the FBI “found a 9 mm semi-automatic firearm, an assault-style rifle with a telescopic sight, approximately 2,500 rounds of ammunition, and multiple large-capacity ammunition feeding devices inside the trailer,” according to the DOJ.
Meredith pleaded guilty to interstate communication of threats and was sentenced to 28 months in prison, plus a period of three years of supervised release. He was included among the nearly 1,600 defendants to whom Trump issued sweeping pardons and clemency on the first day of his second term, for charges or convictions related to Jan. 6.
Multiple pardoned rioters have since found themselves facing new criminal charges for unrelated crimes; one was fatally shot by a local police officer in Indiana for allegedly resisting arrest during a traffic stop mere weeks after his pardon. Another was sentenced to life in prison in March for sexually abusing two middle school-age children.
And now Cleve Meredith is in trouble again too. A September 24, 2025 report by The New Yorker detailed his post-pardon activities, including numerous Facebook posts expressing aggressive political views.
According to a court filing first reported by Court Watch’s Seamus Hughes, at least one of Meredith’s posts caught the attention of authorities.
The complaint submitted by FBI Special Agent Richard Taylor alleges that the FBI had received a tip about a “publicly viewable threat” on Meredith’s Facebook page that was posted on April 23, 2026 and included the text “ALL J6 Federal JUDGES will be EXECUTED!” (along with two emojis, one of a smiling face and another of a hand with the middle finger raised).
The complaint included the below screenshot of Meredith’s Facebook post and detailed descriptions of the page, including Meredith describing himself as a “J6NUMBER1 Winner of the J6 Challenge,” referencing how he was one of the first to be arrested for Jan. 6-related offenses.

Taylor noted that the FBI had previously interviewed Meredith “on two prior occasions – once on or about November 12, 2024, and another time on or about August 14, 2025,” both of which “were conducted, in part, due to prior social media posts MEREDITH made, which appeared to be threatening in nature.”
Because Meredith “expressly threatened execution” and had a “history of violent online rhetoric,” Taylor argued that he “knowingly sent the message on April 23, 2026, and did so for either: (i) the purpose of issuing a threat, (ii) with knowledge that his post would be viewed as a threat, or (iii) while consciously disregarding a substantial risk that his post would be viewed as a threat,” which would constitute probable cause that he violated 18 U.S. Code Section 875(c).
U.S. Magistrate Judge J. Elizabeth McBath for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia signed the criminal complaint finding that there was probable cause to believe Meredith committed the violation of 18 U.S. Code Section 875(c).
The complaint includes numerous details about Meredith’s alleged Facebook page, including username, URL, Facebook ID Number, and other information. A page matching this description is still live and publicly accessible at the time of publication of this article, although a search did not come up with the exact post mentioned in the FBI complaint.
The most recent post on Meredith’s purported Facebook page, published at 4:26 am Monday, refers to mental instability. A screenshot is below.

Many other posts on this Facebook page reference January 6, Trump, judges, other political figures, QAnon and other conspiracy theories, and news events.
On Jan. 19, a post beseeches the “Orange King” (presumably Trump), asking if he could be the “Head EXECUTIONER” as a “prize.”

The Jan. 19 post does not specify who Meredith wants to execute, but numerous other posts voice grievances with different targets.
On Oct. 19, the post included a list of several federal judges that have ruled against Trump and the January 6 defendants, warning that Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth “has plans 4U.”

On Oct. 30, a post urged Meredith’s followers to “relax,” because “3 Days of Darkness” were coming “while the Military exterminates the Left so we can enter The Golden Age.”

One post on Oct. 31 claims to have recently spoken with Trump, who is described as “PO’d” at “THESE FKG RETARDED DUMBOCRATS.”
