Drudge Report Declares ‘The End’ For Trump During Debate With Kamala Harris

Drudge Report

Matt Drudge’s eponymous Drudge Report covered the debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump by running a simple two-word headline under an AI-generated photo of Trump surrounded by cats: “The End.”

The headline linked to a Mediaite article covering Trump repeating the widely debunked claim that migrants in Ohio are eating household pets stolen from their neighbors.

During the debate, Trump raged against immigrants and said, “In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs. The people that came in, they’re eating the cats. They’re eating the pets of the people that live there. And this is what’s happening in our country. And it’s a shame.”

Moderator David Muir quickly clarified, “I just want to clarify here. You bring up Springfield, Ohio. And ABC News did reach out to the city manager there. He told us there have been no credible reports of specific claims of pets being harmed, injured or abused by individuals within the immigrant community.”

The debunked smear that migrants in Ohio are eating cats was widely spread online this week by the likes of JD Vance, Elon Musk, and House Republicans.

Conservative radio host Erick Erickson slammed those who spread the claim online after Trump parroted it, writing, “YOU STUPID MF’ers JUST GOT TRUMP TO REPEAT YOUR LIE ABOUT THE PETS. CONGRATS ON SETTING THE NEWS STORIES TOMORROW BY LYING SO TRUMP PICKS IT UP AND SAYS STUPID SHIT.”
