WATCH: Fox News Anchor Airs Brutal Fact Check Burying Trump’s ‘Wild’ Election Claim

A Fox News anchor dismantled former President Donald Trump’s claims of “massive CHEATING” in Philadelphia with a comprehensive fact-check.

During the 6 p.m. ET hour of Fox’s Election Night coverage Tuesday, Fox News anchor Eric Shawn — after reading the Truth Social post in which Trump claimed there has been cheating — shot down that claim by presenting statements from key leaders from both parties in Philadelphia insisting voting has been on the level.

“The only talk about massive cheating has come from one of the candidates, Donald J. Trump,” said Philadelphia’s Democratic District Attorney Larry Krasner. “There is no factual basis whatsoever with the law enforcement to support this wild allegation. If Donald J. Trump has any facts to support his wide allegations, we want them now. Right now, we are not holding our breath.”

Shawn then noted the comment of Seth Bluestein — the city commissioner of Philadelphia, one of three members of the Board of Elections in charge of the city’s elecetions. Bluestein, who is a Republican, thoroughly rejected Trump’s allegation.

“There is absolutely no truth to this allegation,” Bluestein wrote. “It is yet another example of disinformation. Voting in Philadelphia has been safe and secure.”

The Fox News anchor also noted that the network looked into a voter fraud claim they got from a viewer.

“One Pennsylvania viewer alerted us to a Facebook post that appeared to show a ballot that already had a small mark in the box for Harris,” Shawn said. “The viewer feared his Trump vote would not be counted. We traced that alleged ballot to Kentucky —where the Secretary of State’s office told us that the ballot is an apparent fake.”

“So the lesson from all this, they say, be careful of what you read on social media.”
