Fox News Reveals Identity of Suspected Shooter Who Targeted Dallas ICE Facility

Fox News reported that the identity of the suspected shooter who targeted a Dallas, Texas ICE facility was 29-year-old Joshua Jahn, citing law enforcement sources.

Anchor John Roberts revealed the reporting on Wednesday afternoon, following authorities holding a press conference where they pointed to “early evidence” that the shooter was politically motivated. FBI Director Kash Patel shared a photo of rounds found near the shooter, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, one of which was engraved with the message: “anti-ICE.”

The New York Post also published the name of the deceased suspect, citing sources in law enforcement.

At the Wednesday press conference, authorities said no officers were harmed in the shooting, though they did not officially confirm reports from law enforcement sources that detainees were the shooting victims. Authorities later said one victim was killed and two others remained in critical condition. Another shooting victim is in the hospital in critical condition.

The same Dallas ICE facility faced a bomb threat in August, leading to a man’s arrest. Officials, including Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, have publicly called out rhetoric from critics about ICE agents, tying it directly to the shooting.

“For months, we’ve been warning politicians and the media to tone down their rhetoric about ICE law enforcement before someone was killed,” Noem wrote on X. “These horrendous killings must serve as a wake-up call to the far-left that their rhetoric about ICE has consequences.”
